Racism and Transphobia of the Pink Pussy Hat Ban

January 15, 2018

Unsilenced Brown Girl

When I first heard that the pinky pussy hats were starting to be viewed as racist, I laughed out loud. I figured these were the mindless thoughts of white liberal reddit threads… until I was informed that entire marches are beginning to ban the hats for promoting racism and transphobia. It began with the Pensacola “Women’s March (am I allowed to call it that?? Is my bigotry showing already because I used the word “woman” and not something more gender inclusive?),” and now third-wave feminists across America have joined Pensacola to bask in their inclusionary glory by banning the iconic pink, cat-eared hats scattered through every “Women’s March” last January. Despite that the hats were banned for their unbearable racism and transphobia, I’m left thinking that they are the ones who seem to be harboring racism and transphobia the most.

Let’s start with the transphobia. I’m normally not one to talk…

“As a fellow woman of color said to me, ‘they claim they must center our voices but it seems to me they are just using us as pawns for the trans agenda.'”

    👏👏👏

Preaching to the choir, trans activism = parasitism. It attaches to every progressive social movement and shifts whenever one starts to scratch it off.

Gallus Mag, the link to that essay is a perfect post for MLK Day!

It doesn’t surprise me in the least that the women of color all those “woke” people claim to be so concerned about were silenced the moment they disagreed with what was being said and done on their behalf, exactly the way Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was accused of “white feminism” when her views diverged from the trans party line. Last week I read an essay on medium.com that claimed pussy hats were the “confederate flag” of white feminism–still shaking my head over that.

And what’s wrong with being a white feminist? It isn’t as if some of us have the choice to be any other kind, so that’s mostly a way to sneak in misogyny under the cover of defending those who are more oppressed. Yeah, I know one can supposedly be an “intersectional feminist,” but these days that seems to mean women doing what men want, just as in “fun” or “sex positive” feminism. (My feminism will submit to men’s wishes or it will be bullshit?)

Given that the context of the pussy hats is women’s protest against the idea that men are entitled to touch women against their will, everyone with a few synapses firing should be able to see this is really about silencing women who refuse be good handmaidens. First we’re told it’s wrong to use “woman” and then “female” to refer to our reproductive class and should call ourselves “uterus-havers,” but when we simply speak about reproductive issues or hold signs saying “No uterus, no opinion,” we’re accused of transphobia.

Continually changing the rules about what’s acceptable is one way abusers and fascists try to gain control over others. Maybe we should all wear pussy hats any time we’re outdoors this winter. They wouldn’t even have to be that horrible candy store pink–we could make them or get them made in our favorite colors, which would also vitiate the ridiculous charge of racism while still making the point.

    • Well, the pussy hats were in response to Trump and his “grab them by the pussy” line.

He didn’t say “grab them by the ladydick” or “grab them by the identity”.

We were only responding. Yet, not one trannie went after Trump for ignoring their ladyfeels by using the word, pussy.

Apparently, trump’s sexual assault and misogynist behavior is totally fine, but women standing up for ourselves is bigotry and terfy violence murderz.

    • Anemone Says:

I wear my pink hat (actually, it’s terracotta, so a muted earthy pink) whenever it’s really cold (so, lots, this winter), with the matching scarf I knit after discovering that this hat is the most comfortable winter hat I’ve ever had. But so far I’ve been too intimidated to wear it in public without my hood up over it, except when I shovel snow. It’s something I’m working on.

If pussy hats are banned at “women’s” events, maybe those of us who want to wear them anyway can all line up at a safe distance and observe the events wearing our hats.

The absurdity of the left going cloud koo koo land, the sheer stupidity…. there is a context for the Pussy hats, but apparently context is over the heads of the SJW out there. If hundreds of thousands of women show up for women’s marches this year, I doubt that the fringe will have much power over them at all. And wow, women of color helped invent the hats in the first place, as well as the MeToo movement ….

  4. GallusMag Says:

It doesn’t even make sense. ALL PUSSIES ARE PINK. THE INSIDE OF EVERYONE’S MOUTH IS ALSO PINK. ALL BLOOD IS RED. This has been a public notice.

    • Bev Jo Says:

Actually some vulvas can be more purple to brown, and that includes some white women too. So the hats bother me, but clearly it helps for women to have something to organize around and wear to show unity. We used to have radical Lesbian Feminist tee shirts and buttons, but at this point anything is better than nothing. And if it makes the female impersonators/trannies upset, then so much the better.

  5. Dixiechick Says:

Crazier than a shithouse rat. I’m black. I thought the pussy hats were rather silly but I never thought they were racist. My vagina is pink. As far as I know everybody’s internal organs are pink. Basically they’re implying that only white women have vaginas. Not surprising considering the way they keep implying that trans women are just another type of woman—like black women. Nothing racist about that of course.

  6. All women’s marches should leave transgender political objectives completely out of the whole purpose of the march. Trans should not be part of the planning process. Indeed, transgender issues are in direct opposition to the human rights of the female sex. And, sterilizing children and mutilating disabled women are human rights abuses. No other so-called civil rights group actively promotes the sterilization of children, and knowingly promotes legislation that harms the female sex. Transwomen are, in fact, male. Transmen are females who willingly gave up their membership in the female sex. Women’s marches should focus on issues that impact women, and the speakers should all be female.

The pussy hats came about because of one of Trump’s sexist remarks about “grabbing them by the pussy”. I can’t believe that in the year 2018 males are telling women what they can wear and dictating the agenda.

Transwomen just keep asking for more, and the more that women pander to them, the more that they will demand.

*Last year transwomen were bitching about the “transphobic” pussy hats too.

    https://gendertrender.wordpress.com/tag/pussy-hat-ban/

*Last year a transwoman ran off with the money from Portland, Oregon women’s march. Did they ever get their money back? Probably not, and who knows where he is.

    https://gendertrender.wordpress.com/2017/02/28/transwoman-ex-con-absconds-with-portland-womens-march-funds/

    * This year they are still whining about the “transphobic” pussy hats.

*Where trans go, the whole kink crowd is sure to follow. Vancouver women’s march has a transwoman dominatrix as a speaker.

What does a male’s sexual fetish have to do with the liberation of women? The answer is nothing whatsoever. Hailey Heartless is his name, and he gets paid hundreds of dollars an hour to whip and smack around rich old white men. Rich old white men have always had their kink. I’m sure for the right price he would lead a female around on a dog leash, stick pins in her, chain her up somewhere, or some other freaky thing.

Meghan Murphy says Hailey Heartless, the male dominatrix, was also involved in the trans push to defund Vancouver Rape Relief.
Of course, Heartless, professional male dominatrix, is playing the whole “sex positive” schtick saying that he is all for “sex workers”. The pimps and johns love their workers, and it’s just a coincidence that the vast majority of women in “sex work” are poor. Poverty has nothing to do with pornography or prostitution. Decades of research from feminists who really care about women know that the Nordic Model is a better alternative for the vast majority of women in porn or prostitution.

    https://nordicmodelnow.org/what-is-the-nordic-model/

Speaking of the transwoman dominatrix, has anyone wondered why there are so many trans into kink? I wish someone would explain to me what in the heck does this have to do with the liberation of women. The whole porn business in a rich white man’s enterprise, and I’m sure kink is no different. There might be some women into it, but I’m sure at the top it’s controlled by white men. Why is trans so obsessed with kink? The list is long, and I’m just scratching the surface: Stefonknee Wolscht, Mr. Carlotta Sklodowska, Riley Kilo, the trans diaper enthusiasts, even Dana Rivers wrote creepy age play books. It’s all about a male’s sexual fetish. Pornography and prostitution exploit women, and transgender is misogynistic to its core. Pornography and prostitution view female bodies as commercial products, and transgender ideology says that rich white men can buy “womanhood” via cosmetics, fashion, and a ton of plastic surgery.

Vancouver Women’s March makes me sick to my stomach. It’s a disgrace.

In 2019, Stefonknee Wolscht could be a speaker at a women’s march. Anything goes, and they whine and pout until they get their way.

Again, transgender shouldn’t have anything to say about a women’s march. Nothing. They should not be part of the planning process, and they shouldn’t be speakers. They should keep their mouths shut about the “pussy hats” and anything else women choose to wear. Women don’t show up at the Trans Day of Remembrance or other trans events just so they can harass them.

  7. Millie McQeeun Says:

Hello, and Happy New Years to everyone.

I wish to say sorry to anyone I may have offended with my actions. I didn’t mean to try to push my story onto you. But I also had to be honest about myself, as I hate lying.

I hope you all could forgive me.

    Millie

    • GallusMag Says:

No idea who you are sir. If you have a history of pushing your story onto women, perhaps it’s time to just shut up and listen instead. To be clear: LEAVE ME ALONE. DO NOT BOTHER WOMEN ANY MORE.

      • Bev Jo Says:

Thank you, Gallus Mag! Bad enough the news about the Women’s March often first showed men giving their opinions.

It’s a classic ploy for a trannie to act all meek and submissive to hook women into trusting him, and then the viciousness shows, but they got what they wanted, which was more access to us.

        Not this time!

    • Millie McQeeun Says:

[Do any of these dudes ever fucking respect a woman’s boundaries? The answer is no. They just go on and on centering themselves, demanding service and attention. Sick bastards.-GM]

  8. Medi Says:

Not this time! Bev you are brilliant exposing these creeps.
