In a surprising last minute move, the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference (PTHC) quietly banned two scheduled panels addressing the needs of individuals who detransition, leaving organizers stunned and left with non-refundable travel expenses less than two weeks before the conference.

According to blogger ThirdWaveTrans, who underwent male to female sex reassignment before later growing to accept his biological reality, the PTHC banned the panels out of concern that presenters may be harboring sympathies towards feminism, specifically the feminist analysis which views gender itself as a culturally created system of behavioral codes designed to perpetuate male dominance (masculinity) and female subjugation (femininity).

ThirdWaveTrans writes:

“The first I found out that something was amiss was by reading a thread on Reddit’s r/asktg which was questioning whether the panels should be presented at the conference or not because they were presented by people that had “TERF-leaning” blogs. I am not a radical feminist, but they tend to place anyone who holds views they oppose in this category.

One of them claimed to receive the following reply from the conference:

“Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention! Our workshops are chosen by our community run planning committee. They did not know the toxic nature of this workshop. We have decided to cancel their workshop and they will not be allowed to submit workshops in the future. We here at Mazzoni and at the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference extend our apologizes for letting this slip through. Thank you so much for keeping us accountable.”

We had not heard any news of this, so I asked my contact at the planning committee about it and she hadn’t heard anything either. Eventually it turned out this was not official, and the planning committee decided to vote on whether we should be included or not as they had received calls and emails complaining about our inclusion in the conference. The committee met and voted over the next few days.

A couple of hours ago I received word that the committee voted to cancel our workshops. We had worked very hard on this and much energy went into it. Additionally, some of us are out our travel costs as we were expecting these workshops to go on until just now, less than two weeks before the conference.”

A review of the writings and materials emanating from the banned detransitioner panel presenters shows that all of them support medical transition. None are radical feminists. None are religious conservatives.

Two forums were subject to the last minute detransitioner ban. The first addressed the experiences and health care needs of those who desist from pursuing a medicalized course of treatment for gender dysphoria, including those who no longer relate to the transgender paradigm. The second forum which was banned presented non-medical options for dealing with gender dysphoria for those who cannot undergo hormone and surgical treatments due to health issues, for those who suffer from gender dysphoria but do not identify within the transgender paradigm, and for those who have undergone hormonal and surgical treatment but continue to suffer from dysphoria.

WPATH resources for detransitioners. Nada.

The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) in 38 years of existence, has never in a single instance offered any support or resource whatsoever for transgender individuals who suffer from gender dysphoria and cannot undergo medical transition due to health issues, nor for individuals who have undergone treatment but continue to suffer from dysphoria, nor for those who suffer gender dysphoria but who don’t disassociate with their biological sex. WPATH has never included any guidelines or support for individuals needing (or choosing) to bypass or halt the cross-sex hormone treatments that WPATH advocates for. The second detransitioner panel banned by the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference sought to address the needs of these individuals.

Ironically, banning detransitioner participation may have set the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference afoul of the Philadelphia Public Accommodations Discrimination Charter which forbids public events and services from limiting the participation of individuals based on Gender Identity. It reads:

Philadelphia law protects an individual’s basic right to fair and equal treatment by public accommodations.

Public accommodations discrimination may happen when services are denied outright, such as when someone is refused admission to a public place.

Discrimination may also occur in other ways, such as when someone is offered less favorable service than others or when a physical barrier or other issue makes services inaccessible to someone who has a disability.

Examples of public accommodations include:

  • Hotels, motels, inns and other places of lodging;
  • Restaurant, bars and other places where food and/or drinks are served;
  • Casinos, theaters and other places of entertainment;
  • Stores, banks, barber/beauty shops and retail establishments;
  • Colleges, universities and educational institutions;
  • Medical clinics, homeless shelters and other social service providers;
  • Parks, health clubs and other centers for recreation or fitness centers; and

           Museums and other places of public display.

The Philadelphia Trans Health Conference is a program of the non-profit (5013c designated) healthcare provider Mazzoni Center, formerly Philadelphia Community Health Alternatives (PCHA). The Mazzoni Center is funded in part by a grant from the Arcus Foundation.

According to the PTHC website, Hahnemann Hospital is the largest sponsor of the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference. Other sponsors are listed here:

God this is good. Mancheeze critiques some YouTube dickhead’s video about how much he hates women and how women should pretend otherwise. I watched his video last week and it was as boring and offensive as you’d expect, but I could listen to Mancheeze go on forever. I nearly busted a gut laughing my ass off. She killed it. Five stars! True feminist entertainment.

Seems there’s more to the story about the “transgender teen” allegedly assaulted in an anti-transgender bias attack at an Arizona pool party. Turns out the “victim”, white male legal adult (18 years old) Dakota Kern had posted a Facebook video three days prior which showed him beating up a teenage black girl and dragging her around by her hair – apparently in retaliation for calling him “dude”.

Sandra Rose has the receipts:

“A gender confused teenager was attacked by a group of people at a Phoenix, Arizona pool party after he uploaded a video of himself beating a young black girl for calling him a “dude.”

Police say a group of about 20 people attacked 18-year-old Dakota Kern at a pool party on August 16 — about a week after he uploaded the video to his Facebook page.

Kern, who is white, is seen dragging a young black girl by her hair across the pavement and pummeling her about the face with his closed fist.

“This is what happened when b**** try me,” he captioned the video on his Facebook page.

“Tell yo’ mama to come my way. I’ll do that to yo’ mama too, b-tch,” he tells the girl in the video.

About a week later, Kern was spotted at a pool party by the girl’s family members.

Kern told a local news outlet that he was surrounded by people who yelled homophobic slurs at him.

He said he decided to leave when a man yelled, “Get it! Get it!”

“Then one of the guys, he ends up grabbing me by my head, grabbing me by my hair and then he hit me a few times,” Kern told CBS 5 News.

Kern was hospitalized with neck injuries after the attack. He has since been released.

A video shared on Facebook.com shows Kern being assaulted at the pool party.

The local media quickly portrayed Kern as the victim.

But Facebook users refused to take pity on him. “Well u beat up my granddaughter last week Karma ain’t no joke,” wrote one woman on Facebook.

In another post on Facebook, a man called Kern a coward. “U a whole man fight on a female & gon [sic] threaten her momma but not her dad…”

Many users questioned why Kern wasn’t arrested for assaulting the adolescent girl

Police say a 15-year-old boy was arrested and at least two others are being sought in the pool attack.”

While Kern has taken his Facebook post down, one of his victims uploaded receipts today. The poster states:

I would like to tell y’all that this transgender dude name Dakota Kern aka queen red have been harassing me for a long time and he legally drag me across the street by my hair calling me a bitch and hitting me in the head and told me my mama can get it too bitch and have my mama come her way bitch , but just let y’all know I’m only 17 years old and this transgender is 19 years beating me up calling me bitch and he littray slam me on the floor calling me bitch while he was hitting me in The face and funny thing is I was on my way to work and he decided to drag me and hitting me in the face calling me bitch like and comment if you think its fair for a grow man to be beating up a young black girl 🤘😣😫

Here is her video:

More receipts. In this one you can hear Dakota Kern threaten to beat up the victim’s mother:

From Dakota Kern’s Facebook page (now deleted):

It is very interesting that none of the mainstream media reports covering this “hate crime” mentions these very pertinent facts. Hmmmm.

An adult white man can batter a black female minor with impunity, posting and publicly celebrating the crime, and it’s not a hate crime as long as he “identifies as” a transwoman and claims the girl “misgendered” him  by using the generic term “dude”. Okayyyyy.

Turns out this creep was arrested two weeks ago on some other charge.

What a scumbag.

It’s hard to have sympathy for a guy who got roughed up at a pool party after committing these actions. File this one under “Don’t start none, Won’t be none.”

Roxane Gay Hates Lesbians

August 16, 2017

It is 2017 and we still have man-loving liberal feminists like Roxane Gay troubling themselves over the Lavender Menace of Lesbianism. In her tweets she has advocated that a man should “slap” a lesbian for the crime of publicly stating her same-sex orientation because in Roxane Gay’s world, homosexuality is transphobic and lesbianism is a form of discrimination against male-bodied persons. Roxane Gay fancies her anti-lesbianism as a righteous new form of heteroqueer social justice, but what she is doing is nothing new. It’s the same old anti-lesbian hateful shit.

Rather than go on, I’ll simply say: Roxane Gay, FUCK YOU. God help any young lesbians who are subject to your homophobia in your position as a university professor, or any feminist students who are critical of gender.

For readers who want more context (and less profanity) I refer you to the thoughtful, generous, and kind response articulated by Claire at the award-winning Sister Outrider blog:

Raised Without Gender

July 26, 2017

Pink News CEO Benjamin Cohen [ITV News]

Benjamin Cohen, CEO of Pink News, announced on Twitter that he believes any transwomen who has visible facial hair – even those who are legally “female”- should be charged and prosecuted as sex offenders if they use female change rooms.

The surprise announcement took place in an exchange with NewStatesman editor Helen Lewis, in response to her op-ed in The Times titled “A Man Can’t Just Say He Has Turned Into A Woman”. Lewis wrote the piece addressing the feminist backlash against UK’s proposed “self identification” Gender Identity process, which would allow any man at the stroke of a pen to be legally regarded as “female” to access women’s change rooms, scholarships, hospital wards, sports competitions, abuse shelters, jail cells, etc.

You can read her piece here (paywall): https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/comment/a-man-can-t-just-say-he-has-turned-into-a-woman-m5lltcgv7

Benjamin Cohen, a gay anti-feminist activist who has used his platform to lobby against the rights of lesbians to hold female-only events on the grounds that they discriminate against the sexual rights of heterosexual males, initiated the exchange after publishing the following article on his Pink News site:

Benjamin Cohen’s Pink News article

Cohen then tweeted at Helen Lewis from his @benjamincohen account, asking “Why do people like @helenlewis always turn trans rights into “someone with a beard exposing their penis in the women’s changing room?” He included a screen cap with the following quote from her article:

“What the government proposes is a radical rewriting of our understanding of identity: now it’s a question of an internal essence- a soul, if you will. Being a woman or a man is now entirely in your head. In this climate, who would challenge someone with a beard exposing their penis in a women’s changing room?

That’s why feminists have raised the alarm over the move to self-identification, along with some older trans people who fear that “trendsters” will erode the goodwill they have worked hard to aquire.”

Helen Lewis responded, “Hi Ben, as a man I don’t expect you to get how much women value single-sex spaces for safety reasons. But I would expect you to listen.”

The Twitter exchange

Benjamin Cohen responded in no uncertain terms: he believes transwomen with visible facial hair should be prosecuted as sex offenders. He stated: “Your example” [of a male with facial hair disrobing in women’s change rooms] would still be indecent exposure, so why link it to trans rights?”

Legally female transwomen like prominent trans rights activists Danielle Muscato and Alex Drummond stand to be prosecuted for indecent exposure under Pink News CEO Benjamin Cohen’s views.

Danielle Muscato, legally “female” male who identifies as a transwoman.

Alex Drummond, legally “female” male who identifies as a transwoman.

People hit back after Cohen’s statement.
